On Friday, the Colonel Blimp-repped director blogged a video of the iHologram, an app that combines anomorphosis and motion sensing that gives the illusion of a 3D hologram, starring a cat character he created for an animated webseries. Inspired by Hans Holbein's painting "The Ambassadors", the app is intended to use the iPhone's gyroscope to rotate on the y-axis, allowing viewers to look around the environment by turning the gadget. On Monday, his web host had to shut down his site due to a flood of visitors apparently under the impression the app was real, as opposed to an illustration of his idea. "I'm just an ideas person," he writes. "I'm no hardcore programmer. I'd be happy to collaborate with a developer or studio who wants to make it happen."
