•RADIOHEAD RELEASES VIDEO SHOT WITHOUT CAMERAS> Radiohead has premiered a new video on Google, billed as the first music video to be shot without cameras and lights. Instead, "House of Cards" uses a scanning system called Geometric Informatics and the light detection and ranging system Velodyne LIDAR to scan and capture real-time, 3D imagery of vocalist Thom Yorke and a suburban cityscape. Zoo Films director James Frost (also one half of creative outfit Blip Boutique) first came up with the idea while collaborating with data artist Aaron Koblin on the Interpol video "Rest My Chemistry" (read the Boards story about the making of that video here). •WIEDEN+KENNEDY & CAREERBUILDER TEAM FOR IPHONE APP> For all of the frustrated workers out there looking to land a new job on the go, Wieden+Kennedy has created a new iPhone application for its client, Careerbuilder.com. Available since July 11 via Apple's App Store, the app takes advantage of the iPhone's built-in geolocation technology to automatically pinpoint the user's location and lists job listings in the vicinity with a simple keyword search. •CONVERSE'S INDIE 'ALL-STAR' COLLABO HITS WEB> Eager to position itself as a "music-focused" brand on the occasion of its 100th anniversary, sneaker label Converse has brought together a trio of of-the-moment musicians - producer Pharrell Williams and his band N.E.R.D., Santogold and The Strokes' Julian Casablancas - on the track "My Drive-Thru". Released as a free digital download last week via , the song is part of a global campaign, created with New York's Anomaly, called "Connectivity" that features more than 20 bizarre minisites and a "My Drive-Thru" music video/commercial, helmed by Psyop directors Marie Hyon and Marco Spier.

•MORE STRAIGHT 8 SCREENINGS IN LONDON> Super8 film festival straight 8 will screen 75 original shorts over three nights during the Rushes Soho Shorts, July 28, 29 and 30. "The Last Trip"premiered on the UK's Channel 4 and screened at straight 8's Cannes Lions event. It's directed by cardiologist-turned-director Malcolm Finlay and tells the story of the first Welshman in space.

•ADVANCED BEAUTY LAUNCHES PODCAST> Design studio Universal Everything's http://advancedbeauty.org/blog/">"Advanced Beauty" project culled a selection of international programmers, designers and animators to create digital artworks "born and influenced" by the sounds of musician Freeform. The initial collection of 18 films, including works by PepperMelon, PandaPanther, Robert Seidel, Carl Burgess and Minivegas, is being released via a weekly podcast on the "Advanced Beauty" blog. •MIDSUMMER AWARDS WINNERS ANNOUNCED>The Cannes Lions are over but award-winning hasn't stopped in London. On July 10, the city's ad community gathered at Chelsea's Hurlingham Club for the 22nd annual Midsummer Awards. Fallon swept the awards, taking home six Golds for its work for Cadbury, Skoda and Sony Bravia as well as the Grand Prix for the Cadbury "Gorilla" spot. MJZ won the Palme d'Or for best prodco and Sonny, London's Fredrik Bond won best director. •GLASS URGES ADLAND TO SCRAP PLASTIC BOTTLES>Veteran post house producer MiShawn Williams is spearheading a new program to rid the ad industry of plastic water bottles. GLASS asks companies to give up plastic bottles for a specified or indefinite period of time and donate the amount spent on water bottles to clean water and development programs.
